Brand new scooter. Had belt slap, swapped it for another brand new scooter, same belt slap. Then changed the factory belt with another new factory CVT belt. Same problem! Could it be 1) Is the standard factory belt the problem? Too long or too short? 2) Maybe Shims need to be added or removed? 3) Could the clutch bell housing be causing the belt to be doing that slow speed vibrating. (Warped or unbalanced) 4) Other?

Letting go of my ego on my SW600 has given me more confidence to spare.

I don't have it that extreme. But maybe also sounds different cos you got the covers off. I noticed also that it only occurs to mine after a long ride with my nmax. And I didn't reach my replacing milage or lifespan.

Don’t drive without putting the rear brakes back on.

Good Video....makes seat removal a snap. A little tip...after removing seat give the mechanism a shot or two of WD40 and work it in....Makes it all even easier.;-)

If the belts slapping then it's either stretched or incorrect size belt.

I have an italica Rayo 150cc. Got it brand new and I am at 1790 miles. I recently started hearing scratching noises when I turn on the scooter and when accelerating the noise will increase. I haven’t open anything to see if it’s coming from the belt. I’m hoping this video helps me. Thank you.

And under the minutia category: how to describe leg/knee angles. I'm no mathematician, and maybe I misunderstood the narrator, as well as the comment below mine. If your femur (thigh bone) were a vector or side of a triangle, and your tibia (lower leg) were the other vector or next side of a triangle then we are talking about the angle at the Popliteal fossa (under/back side of the knee). If we can agree that a straight leg is at 180*, and that the angle when sitting upright at a table chair is 90*, then the angle when your foot is forward is between 90* and 180*. It would not be 45*. You might experience a 45* angle when your feet are on the pegs of a sport bike, or maybe on the passenger pegs of a standard bike. But if your feet were 45* forward, your leg would be at 90* + 45* = 135*. I would say that two preset positions of my legs/feet are approximately at 90* and 135* when I rode my Burgman 400. Remember, feet behind you: less than 90*. Feet forward: more than 90*. (No contortionists were harmed during this demonstration.)

I,foolishly,bought a cheap cvt belt off ebay,£50,my mechanic said dont go over 10,000 miles,on it,i forgot,and at 10,500 miles,the belt broke,wrapped itself round the rear hub,and locked the rear wheel,and ,instantly,the scoot stopped,thank the####,i sensed something seconds before,and was going very slow, nearly on the hard shoulder(thank#### there was one),and the scoot simply fell over,with me beneath it,the fellow travellers,car drivers mostly,snd safety services where there nearly instantly,to help,gosh,that was a near fatality,so always buy Honda CVT drive belts,from a Honda m/c dealer and change when they say,they made it they know best
